Greyhawk

Greyhawk is the stage name of Michiel Holtgreve, born in 1972 in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Beginning his production career in 1990, he has been active since shortly after the emergence of house music. His early releases include the 1991 vinyl "Tecno flight" on Freaky Records, and remixes for artists such as Olav Basoski and Erik van den Broek. He has collaborated with multiple artists along his career, including Sander Hoeke and Erik van den Broek, contributing to various releases on labels like Djax up beats and Elecktrick recordings, both based in The Netherlands. His involvement spans DJing and producing across diverse electronic styles.

The musical output and live performances of Greyhawk have showcased a wide range of electronic music styles. He has explored classics, house, progressive trance, technohouse, techno, and trance, reflecting his broad interest in electronic music. Collaborative projects include work with Sander Hoeke, performing live in venues such as Het Patronaat and De Stalker in Haarlem, as well as Tivoli in Utrecht. Additional collaborations with Dennis Visser have resulted in releases on Kyr Records and Tiësto's In Trance We Trust label under projects like Blairbitch and Vector7. This diversity in sound and production contexts illustrates his engagement with various facets of the electronic music scene over several decades.
